When I was the Executive Officer at the U.S. Army Pohakuloa Training Area, Lt. Col Hirlinger and I were watching a news release on Haunani Trask being arrested for blocking the H-3 construction on the island of O`ahu. Hirlinger said, "who the fuck died and made her Queen?"

That is the general opinion you will hear from loyal Americans when they see individual Hawaiians challenging the authority of the U.S. and the state of Hawaii in matters of concern to them. And those loyal Americans making those statements even include those with Hawaiian blood.

By the same token, who died and made Ghandi the emperor of India? Who died and made Ho Chi Minh the Prime Minister of French Indo-China?

There are many individuals who will step up to the plate and take action in words and deeds to announce that securing your nation's freedom from an occupying nation is not a crime--it is an imperative obligation.

To quote a famous American, Barry Goldwater" I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice."

Individuals who step up to the plate in the struggle to recall the occupation forces of the United States walk in the shoes of Ghandi, Ho Chi Minh, et al. They include, but are not limited to, George Jarret Helm, Jr., Kimo Mitchell, Haunani Trask, Walter Ritte, Bumpy Kanahele, Henry Noa, Robert Keli'iho'omalu, Keanu Sai, Kaho'okahi Kanuha, and the list goes on.

Will you step up to the plate? Eddie would go.
